nyc sun and mon

sunni i spent sunday shopping on fifth ave, and checking out a great Claes Oldenburg exhibit that the whitney museaum of art. we got the bouncer at no fun to let sunni in even the show was sold out. it was even louder than the day before. sunni had to stuff toilet paper in her ears just to stay sane. we just got back from getting breakfast and are going to hang out with sunni's family and then leave for the airport.

sunni and i met dennis at the park and went and got some brunch. a good morning of walking and conversation. we hit a bunch of great galleries in chelsea, got some coffee and then parted ways. there was some kind of crazy festival in the park by where we are staying, there were lots of weirdos dancing around to drums and walking on stilts. i went solo to no fun fest. it was a late night and kim gordon (from sonic youth) stood behind for bardo ponds set and i was pretty star stuck. didn't end up getting back until after 2. i wish had brought ear plugs because my ears won't stop ringing.

some pics from friday in nyc. a beautiful day and a lively night. great music at no fun fest. a friday night in brooklyn is like college x10, a constant stream of people, noise and madness. i love that someone took the time to tag the inside of a toilet! only in new york.

NYC!!!

i just got to where i am staying in Manhattan. the flight in was a mess. it was too foggy to land in Laguardia so we had to circle in the air for about an hour and then we ran low on fuel. we ended up landing at JFK. it took a while to get here by subway, but it is worth it because it feels good to be in the city. me and sunni are off to get our first meal of the day.
