Loving Lisbon

It's been a weird year for travel booking. Initially we were going to visit our friend in Vietnam, but we waited a little too long and the prices skyrocketed. Then, the plan was to go travel South America, but Brazil is a disaster right now, and I don't really feel like catching Zika or getting mugged in broad daylight. Thank goodness for google flights. Lisbon won the lottery for cheapest flight of the moment, so that's where we are! The weather here is PERFECT. Hot, sunny, with blue skies all day, but it gets chilly at night like the whole city turned on the AC all at once. It is just as pretty as the rest of Europe, but without pretension and very affordable.

So far, we've seen some great art. Visited the up and coming culture centers built on shipping containers and old factories. Listened to wonderful live Fado music over cheap pints in a nice local bar. We've booked 4 nights, but I'm glad we're flying out of here too, because I feel like we could use a couple more days at the end of the trip to continue exploring.

This hangs above the bed at our airbnb, lol
