out of africa

i am currently sitting in the Bangkok airport killing time until my flight to Vietnam leaves in the morning. we went out to the shade hotel and danced to an incredible local band to celebrate my last night in town. it was a lot of fun, but i only got three hours of sleep before leaving for the airport this morning. it cost me almost $70 to get a driver so early in the morning. it is very dangerous to be on the road early in Tanzania so you have to pay quite a premium. Dio road with me to the air port and it took everything i had not to fall apart when i had to say goodbye. it is amazing how attached you can get to people in such a short amount of time. i had an amazing time on my three day safari and took tons of pics. we were lucky enough to see two lionesses kill a warthog and devour it in front of us. i also had a comical run in with an elephant at our third campsite. i will post pics and stories from all three days when i get to Vietnam.
