It ended up being about the same price to flying into Hong Kong for a few days on our way to Vietnam as it would have been to just take one flight directly there. Hong Kong is everything I thought it would be. Skyscrapers with tiny rooms everywhere. People on top of people. It SO CHAOTIC. We were almost instantly overwhelmed. I have no idea how anyone could live there, but I'm glad we visited. As soon as we showed up there was a huge student military parade. We went to all the little night markets and food stalls, went to some major galleries and went to an insane buddhist temple with over 12,000 buddhas. They line the stairs as you hike up, and each one has its unique face and body. It was raining so bad that we ended up hanging out in the temple for quite some time just for shelter.
