More Budapest

Ruin pubs-

Apparently some smart entrepreneurs started putting massive clubs in old abandoned building a few years ago and they are all now very popular and semi-official. The place was MASSIVE! 25 rooms, 7 bars, and tons of different DJ's. We've never really been to anything like it. Every room has it's own special flair (most of which looks like it was found in the trash, one room had a stove in it, another flying pigs, one was covered wall to wall in old fake grass, etc). We danced until like 4 am and I tried to sleep in a park. Crazy fun night. We checked a bunch more out the next night and they were all pretty sweet. We snuck onto the third floor of one of them and it was completely abandoned. Holes in the floors and walls. No power. It felt like it might collapse. It reminded me of going in all the old abandoned factories in Detroit when I was in High school.

Ludwig museum of Modern Art-

Nice museum full of odd soviet modern art. Great building and interesting collection. The work before the 90's wasn't as great since the commies were pretty closed minded. But the recent collections were worth checking out. The arts hall near by had really interesting statutes, a huge ziggurat, and a real hedge maze!

MAGIC! -

I played in the Magic Origins released. 78 people! It was held in the back of a coffee house, I didn't do very well, but I met a lot of great people and had loads of fun.
